The project
Cabrio-Container is the solution developed ad hoc for Trasporti Pesanti, for installation on containers used to transport ferrous materials, scrap metal and coils. The system has been designed in compliance with the certification regulations for rail transport.
The challenge
- Ensure full accessibility to the load compartment with regard to the maximum dimensions of the container so as not to interfere with the stacking of the container for transport.
- Allow movement of the tarpaulin without involvement by the operator from above, even in the case of a container loaded onto a rail car.
The solution
Cabrio-Container, Cabriolé technology adapted to containers. Compared to traditional solutions, the Cabrio-Container system features a cable that runs below the bow slides and mechanics that are located inside the container. The tarpaulin also features a bottom-action manual drive system to allow movement of the tarpaulin from the ground.

Approved technology
The system is equipped with safety straps to secure the container during transport on a rail car.
